What Is SwissTopo?

SwissTopo is app that you can download on your phone created the national mapping agency of Switzerland. It's basically a map of the entire country, that shows all the hiking routes.

Key Things to Note

1. Preloaded Hiking Trails

   • Each location in the guide has the preloaded hiking route in the location description

2. Plan your Route Manually

   • Search the location you want to visit, then find the starting point and mark two pins on the map and hiking route will be created.

3. Offline Maps

   • Before you head off on your hike download the route offline so you don't get lost when you lose connection

4. Trail Colours

   • Yellow trails - Easy Hiking (T1)

   • Red Trails - Moderate Hiking (T2 - T4)

   • Blue Trails - Alpine Hiking (T4+)
