1. Second Home Visa (for rich folks tbh)
Valid for: 5–10 years
Deposit required: IDR 2 billion (~$130K USD) in an Indonesian bank 😬
Not for everyone, but great if you're semi-retired or big ballin’
2. KITAS (Limited Stay Permit)

Work KITAS – for actual jobs in Indo
Retirement KITAS – age 55+, chill lifestyle
Spouse KITAS – if you’re married to an Indonesian citizen

Yep, you can fly out and back in to reset your visa (especially if you used VOA or visa-free).
Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Bangkok are popular runs.
But immigration might start asking questions if you do this too often. Don’t get flagged as a “perpetual tourist.”
Penalty: IDR 1,000,000/day (~$65 USD)
Overstay by a few days? Pay at the airport and leave.
Overstay by weeks/months? Hello, fines + possible blacklisting.
Keep track of your visa dates like your life depends on it.
Use a visa agent if you're extending or applying for B211A—saves headaches.
Track your visa expiration from the DAY YOU ARRIVE (not the next day).
Immigration is strict AF lately—don’t play games with “working remotely” if you're on a tourist visa.
Always keep a few printed and digital copies of your visa docs.
Want to extend in Bali? Start at least 7–10 days before expiry to avoid panic mode.
