The Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden is a spectacular outdoor destination near Johannesburg. If you're looking for a place to destress with some beautiful sights and a huge waterfall, this is for you.

Home to the Verreaux's eagles, as well as other incredible wildlife species, this 300 hectare botanical reserve is a gem for locals. Take a walk through its picturesque spots, chirpy bird sounds, and stunning mountainous backdrops whilst observing the variety of native South African plants.

Tickets can be bought online via webtickets.co.za, and guided tours are also available.

Pro tip: The gardens get quite busy on weekends, so try go on a weekday if you can.

Enjoy the beautiful greens!
