A. Bookings and Pre-flight check list

  1. Bookings - Activities, Transport, Accommodation

  2. Organize Mobile Roaming/ local sim or Pocket WIFI

  3. Register your travels on the Visit Japan website before reaching Japan - helps with getting through customs faster and creates a QR for tax free shopping.

B. General things to know about Japan

1. Its crowded but organized. You can expect people to respect queues and not cut lines at any time. They are also some of the most helpful and kind people so don't hesitate to ask for help at anytime.

2. Download google translate on your phone in advance for any ad hoc moments you need to communicate with Japanese people. Not everyone knows English but they try their best to assist via translation apps.

3. Do not eat while walking on the road or on public transport (except the Bullet trains where the journey is long and people carry food). It is preferred to stand along the sides of the road incase you need to eat outside.

4. There is no tipping culture in Japan (unless its the tip based tour where tips are appreciated). You can use the tray the cashier hands out for cash transactions fore everywhere else.

5. Typically stand on the left side of escalators and use the right side for walking. Some will have the do not walk sign, in that case please follow the signage

C. Your Itinerary

Based on your 10 or 14 day trip itinerary, it can be self customized further with various things to do and can be extended with day trips across various parts of Japan. Once you finalize what your trip will look like you can make the bookings for each date and time from the booking lists above.
