Garvagh Forest is a woodland located near the town of Garvagh in County Derry/ Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The forest covers an area of approximately 200 hectares and is predominantly composed of coniferous trees, including Sitka spruce and Scots pine.

Garvagh Forest is crisscrossed by a network of walking trails, providing opportunities for you to explore. The trails vary in length and difficulty, they meander through the forest, offering glimpses of wildlife, tranquil streams, and scenic viewpoints.

One of the highlights of Garvagh Forest is the Garvagh Pyramid, a unique structure located within the woodland. The hidden pyramid is one you have to check out, at 18ft by 21ft , the pyramid adds to the mystic and magic of the Causeway Coast! Built for a Lord Canning in the early 1800s , as his burial chamber after he got inspired for the build after his visit to Egypt! You can reach the pyramid with a short walk west of the forest carpark.

Make sure you add this pyramid to your Northern Ireland travel itinerary, the perfect stop on your Causeway Coast road trip!
