The Silent People in Suomussalmi, Finland, is a quirky art installation featuring over a thousand faceless scarecrow-like figures standing still in a field. Created by artist Reijo Kela, these eerie yet intriguing figures are dressed in colorful clothing and have peat heads with straw hair. The meaning behind this installation remains a mystery, with viewers left to interpret the silent army's presence on their own. Some find them sad or disturbing, while others see them as a tribute to those lost in a nearby battle during the Winter War.
