First things first, and a great way to ease yourself into Japan, hop on the Marunouchi Line for a quick 3-minute ride to Ginza. Known for its luxury shopping, gourmet dining, and stunning architecture, Ginza is the perfect place for a morning stroll—whether you’re window shopping or grabbing a coffee at a stylish café.
Next, make your way to Hie Shrine, a hidden gem just a 10-minute train ride away. Nestled among modern skyscrapers, this peaceful shrine is famous for its bright red torii gates, offering a Kyoto-like experience right in the heart of Tokyo.

From here, it’s time to visit one of Tokyo’s most iconic landmarks—Tokyo Tower. A 15-minute train ride will take you to this striking red and white tower, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city from the observation deck.
As night falls, head first to Omoide Yokocho for some delicious food then on to Shinjuku Golden-Gai, Tokyo’s legendary nightlife district.
Take the Oedo Line from Akabanebashi Station to Shinjuku Station (5 stops, ~10 minutes), then walk 5 minutes. Wander through the narrow alleys packed with tiny bars, each with its own unique charm.
Finally, after an incredible day, return to Mercure Hibiya Hotel for a well-earned rest. From Golden-Gai, it’s about a 15-minute train ride via the Yamanote Line to Shimbashi Station, then a short walk home. We recommend staying here due to its convenient location close to the train line.
