Postojna Cave, also known as Grotte di Postumia, is a spectacular limestone cave system located near the town of Postojna in southwestern Slovenia. The cave system comprises 24,340 meters of underground passages, and features breathtaking natural formations such as stalagmites and stalactites. This breath taking underground wonderland is sure to delight visitors of all ages with its sights and sounds! Visitors can explore the caves on foot or take a train ride that traverses 3.5 kilometer of the total pathway of 5 kilometers. A permanent exhibition about the cave and karst environment has also been set up, allowing visitors to delve deeper into their underground adventure. With pleasant temperatures of 10°C all year round and home to the world’s largest troglodytic amphibian, the olm, Postojna Cave offers an unforgettable experience for all!
