Vernazza is located in the region of Liguria, in Northern Italy. It's one of the five towns that make up Cinque Terre, and the second closest to Genoa.

It's one of the most iconic of the five towns and for sure a must-visit if you go to Cinque Terre. It has a unique town centre, with many narrow streets, colourful Ligurian houses and even a castle. The shape of the town is very peculiar and there are many viewpoints to enjoy Vernazza from many different perspectives.

In Vernazza, the main square is located by the sea, it's one of my favourite places in Cinque Terre. There's the church, the beach and the vibes are amazing!

Staying in Vernazza: It's a great option if you plan to visit Cinque Terre, but accommodation prices are high. I believe if you plan to visit Cinque Terre, a night in either Riomaggiore, Vernazza or Manarola is something to do as it's part of the experience! But if you're on a budget, the best alternatives are Levanto or La Spezia.

Why stay here? it's perfect if you want to stay in one of the five towns and enjoy all of your time in Cinque Terre.

Day trip to Cinque Terre? If you're visiting Cinque Terre for just one day, I'd recommend coming to Vernazza, it's one of the prettiest towns.
