Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport, also known as Ministro Pistarini International Airport, is the largest, international airport for Buenos Aires.
It's located 22 km south-southwest of downtown and takes about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to get there depending on where you're departing from in the city (and you know, hellish traffic).
✈Is Ezeiza difficult or busy? How much time DO you need? Honestly, there is no telling. It varies. People either have insane lines and crowds and barely make their flight in time. Or you just fly through, no crowds. I've experienced both and for the same flights back to Texas. My advice is to allow more time than you think you need, just in case.
✈Fast pass/Skip the lines: But, you can do yourself a favor and spend 20 dollars per person for a fast pass to skip the lines in Security. Many readers swear by this! It's for departures only. Buy fast pass here.
👨👩👦👦Ezeiza as a family? Luckily, air travel with babies and small toddlers in Argentina is seriously a breeze. With kids under 3 you have access to priority lines for check in, security, and boarding. It's strictly enforced, as in, if any other Argentine sees you with a baby or young toddler they will probably push you up to the front, it's just the way they are. They don't seem to strictly enforce the age cut off, it's more vibes. How small or fussy do your toddlers look? How miserable are you? They really are understanding and so helpful for families here.
👨👩👦👦There is also a small play area between gates 4 & 5. There's a toy plane and small area they can run around. There are also free use strollers and toy cars you can use to push them around the airport.
✈Ezeiza lounges: There are few lounges, you can check Priority Pass for their specific hours and benefits. If you do not have Priority Pass via any credit card benefits, you can sign up here. Lounges make all airport experiences better!
