John Stenersen is a great human, photographer, writer, teacher and nature guide living in the Lofoten Islands in Northern Norway.

He started as a photojournalist in Oslo, but after moving to Lofoten in 1995, he has mainly focused on nature and wildlife photography. His work has resulted in books, postcards and artwork from Northern Norway.

John Stenersen own and run Engelskmannsbrygga («the Englishman’s Warf») with his artist wife Cecilie Haaland. This is an Arts and Crafts centre and Gallery in Henningsvær in Lofoten, where he also lives.

Since 2002 John Stenersen has been teaching photography at Lofoten folkehøgskole.

With his passionate interest for ornithology and ecology, John Stenersen is a popular lecturer and nature guide.

His activities are gathered under the label tringa as, the company he established in 1997.

John speaks fluent english!
