From the DNT website:

On Moskesnesøya at the far end of Lofoten, you will find Lofoten Turlag's cabin Munkebu. The cabin has its own key, which Lofoten Turlag lends to those who wish to use the cabin.

The cabins for the Lofoten tour team. All cabins have their own keys, none have a standard DNT lock. Those who are going to stay in the cabin must book and pay for their stay in advance. It is not open for day trip visits or drop-ins. Those who will be staying in the cabin must bring a sleeping bag or sheet bag At least one person in the visiting group must be a member of DNT to get a reserved place Usual standard DNT practice with the visitors cleaning up and washing up after themselves.

Leave the cabin in such a condition that it is pleasant for the next visitors to come.

Monk's hut It is possible to reserve a bed at Munkebu by sending an email to post@lofoten-turlag.no

We need the following information initially:

Desired date of stay Number of guests Munkebu has 2 bedrooms, one with 2 double bunks and one with 4 single bunks. It is not possible to reserve an entire room or entire cabin.

Key is picked up and delivered at a local shop in Sørvågen, more information will be sent when the order has been confirmed. The key must be collected during the store's opening hours.

Munkebu is now open for booking. It is not open for drop-in or day-visits
