For photography on the mid tide the sand and water combo creates beautiful reflections and with Mount Maunganui sitting far off in the distance, this landscape photo opportunity is one of the best in the Bay of Plenty.

I would recommend having your mid range zoom lens as well as your wide angle lens for this spot, and the best time for beautiful light is at both sunrise and sunset.
