The Marokopa Falls are an absolute must-see when visiting New Zealand's North Island. Set in the stunning Waitomo District, the car park is the start of a short yet awe-inspiring 10 minute walk to the Falls’ viewing platform, from where the 35 metre waterfalls can be seen in all their glory! With beautiful lush greenery and native bush surrounding the area, you are sure to be struck by its serenity and charm. Once at the viewing platform, you may also choose to explore further, taking an unofficial path going down through the forest to get closer to the Marokopa River. This is a bit of a scramble but will reward visitors with a completely different perspective of the Falls; one that makes the effort more than worthwhile!

Photography info: Take your wide angle and mid range zoom with you for this one, and ND filters if you have them. Beware of the spray from the falls as they can leave droplets on your lens pretty quickly!
