Kai Iwi Lakes, situated north of Dargaville in the Northland & Bay of Islands region of New Zealand, is a nature-lover's paradise. The three basin-type dune lakes formed by rainwater accumulation more than 1.8 million years ago are fringed with pure white sand, making an ideal setting for swimming, fishing and kayaking.
Walkways provide access to the adjoining farm property, while too there are hiking tracks around the lakes and two popular camping areas – Pine Beach and Promenade Point.
