The Paekakariki Hill Road Lookout offers epic views of the Kapiti Coast and beyond. It's like hitting pause on life for a moment to soak in the stunning scenery. It's a great place to stop of you're heading down the Wellington Ferry and happen to be passing at golden hour and sunset time. The views over the coast and out to Kapiti Island are truly breathtaking and its worth the short drive up the windy Paekakariki Hill to get to this view.

For photography take your wide angle (16-35mm or similar) and your zoom lens (70-200mm) for close ups of Kapiti Island. This spot works great for sunset as mentioned above and during the golden hour.
