This vibrant blue gem is part of the Western Volcanic Zone and stands out with its unique red volcanic rock. The caldera is 55 meters deep, 170 meters wide, and 270 meters across, making it one of the top three recognizable volcanic craters in Iceland. Visitors can explore the crater and its surrounding area for a small entrance fee, soaking in the beauty of this natural marvel.
