Þjófafoss Park, located in South Iceland, is a hidden gem known for its stunning turquoise waterfall set against a backdrop of towering mountains. The name Þjófafoss translates to "Thieves Waterfall" as it was once a punishment site for thieves. Despite not being the tallest waterfall, its wide and powerful flow makes it a picturesque spot for nature lovers. Accessible from both sides, the south side offers a better view and is easily reached by taking a turn off Route 26 between Selfoss and Hella. Don't miss this unique and beautiful stop on your Icelandic road trip!
