The Beara Peninsula is a stunning peninsula on the south-west coast of Ireland, positioned between Kenmare Bay and Bantry Bay. The area boasts two mountain ranges across its center, making it an adventurer's paradise! For centuries people have flocked to the area to discover it for themselves. It has a long history, dating back to 3000BC when early Bronze Age settlements existed; later on, Vikings settled in the area before it became an English defensive position against French invaders in the 17th century.
