Levada do Moinho/Levada Nova in Madeira is a great destination for outdoor activities and adventure. It features a 5.4 mile loop trail in Ponta do Sol that takes on average 3 h 46 min to complete. This well-cultivated farmland area is known for its fantastic panoramic views of the valley and village. The end of the route leads up to Levada Nova where you get to admire an impressive waterfall and other natural attractions such as endemic flora, fauna and waterfalls. Levada do Moinho Park is open year-round so visitors can come and explore any time of year.
