Il Gallo D'Oro in Funchal, Madeira is one of the most esteemed and acclaimed restaurants on the entire island. The high-end French cuisine has been under the stewardship of Michelin-star Chef Benoît Sinthon since 2004, with Il Gallo d'Oro receiving the first Michelin star in Madeira in 2009 which was renewed in 2017 and awarded two Michelin stars to this day. With a total refit in 2021, the restaurant opened with modern, contemporary touches, large windows offering an abundance of light, lavish décor, and the tantalizing outdoor terrace offering breathtaking views of the hotel gardens and sea. Guests can also choose the Chef's Table for a truly unique and memorable experience. Additionally, with produce grown at the PortoBay vegetable garden, diners are treated to the freshest ingredients available with every meal.
