Levada do Rei PR18 is a beautiful self-guided Levada Trail in Santana, Madeira. This easy flat walk follows the Ribeiro Bonito River through the gorgeous Unesco World Heritage Site Laurissilva Forest. Magnificent views of São Jorge and Santana farmland are seen along the way before the trail leads to a deep gorge with waterfalls at the end. Along the journey hikers will be able to view amazing Laura flora and fauna as well as visit a three hundred year old water mill run by the levada's waters!
