Miradouro dos Cedros is a scenic viewpoint on Flores Island, one of the islands in the Azores archipelago, Portugal. The viewpoint is located near the village of Cedros on the northern part of the island, which is likely where its name comes from—"Cedros" means "cedars" in Portuguese, though the village itself might be named after the plant Cedrus, despite its rare presence in the Azores.
The viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including lush green valleys, dramatic cliffs, and the Atlantic Ocean. The area is characterized by the island's typical vegetation, with a mix of endemic and introduced species, which adds to the natural beauty of the spot.
Miradouro dos Cedros is particularly popular among visitors for its breathtaking views, especially at sunrise, when the light casts a golden hue over the landscape. It's an excellent spot for photography and a peaceful place to appreciate the untouched beauty of Flores Island.
