Klaksvík is the second largest town in the Faroe Islands, nestled on the picturesque island of Borðoy. With its Viking roots and modern charm, Klaksvík has grown into a bustling cultural and commercial hub. The town boasts a vibrant fishing industry, a historic brewery, and notable landmarks like Christianskirkjan, a church built in Norse style. Thanks to the opening of the Norðoyatunnilin tunnel in 2006, Klaksvík is now connected to the mainland, making it a key port with exciting developments underway. Plus, sports enthusiasts can cheer on local teams like KÍ football club and Mjølnir volleyball club. From Klaksvík you can take the ferry to Kalsoy Island. The trip takes about 20 minutes sailling time. you can find the schedule over at ssl.fo
