Mjørkadalur is a stunningly beautiful valley located on the island of Streymoy in the Tórshavnar municipality in the Faroe Islands. This lush area is surrounded by some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, including mountains, rolling hills, and fjord.

Once home to a military installation and NATO early warning radar system, Mjørkadalur now contains a state-of-the-art detention centre housing up to 12 inmates from the Faroe Islands. Its unique geographical location also provides clear views of the clouds forming to travel over nearby peaks - a perfect sight for any outdoor enthusiast. Anyone fortunate enough to visit Mjørkadalur can expect to find a memorable experience that surpasses anything they have ever seen before.
