Fogón Asado takes the traditional Argentine asado and turns it on its head - creating a coursed menu and fine dining experience.

I have to say, I went as a skeptic. I tend to gravitate more to a hole in the wall than a fine dining meal but I left a convert. The meal at Fogon Asado was one of the best I've ever had.

The interactive experience includes detailed explanations from the chefs about everything from the wood used to the feed for the cattle. It was a real show watching them light the wood (and even a pine cone!) in the fire and pulling the massive bone out of the ribs like butter.

Meals start right at the designated time so arrive when they suggest. Don't be late. Also, don't just walk in. You need a reservation for Fogon Asado, book well in advance if traveling in peak season.

There are two locations but they offer the same experience and menu. Choose whichever works best for your schedule.

This is not a family friendly meal, children under 12 are not permitted.
