This guide made ALL THE DIFFERENCE in our recent weekend getaway to Lisbon! A previous trip had been a bust -- we stumbled unwittingly into too many tourist trap restaurants, fought our way through too many crowds, endured too many lackluster visitor experiences -- in fact, by the time it was over we weren't even sure we ever wanted to return. When circumstances brought us back to Lisbon again, however, thanks to powerhouse Stay Classy couple Amalie and Joen, this time around we had a BLAST! We've enjoyed their delightful YouTube videos, and this guide knocked it out of the park, serving up more of their wonderful humor, relish for good food, and keen eye for authentic experiences. Using the map view, we charted a course with confidence to destinations that included everything from a stunning "secret" garden to a trendy rooftop bar, upscale neighborhood tasca (I'm swooning as I write this, remembering the meal we had), quirky museum, perfect pastries, scenic viewpoints, off-the-beaten-path food truck, and more. Can't wait to go back for more of Lisbon, and can't wait to try other Rexby guides in other spots. We've already moved Madeira to the top of our travel wish list simply on the basis of this guide alone, knowing that Stay Classy's insider tips will make that trip a winner as well. Please please please add Porto!

We were so impressed with the Madeira guide we had to get the Lisbon guide. You will quickly realize that Portugal's capital city is full of restaurants and things to do, which can be intimidating and overwhelming. There is something to discover in every corner, which is the problem and why you need this guide. Even though this is named the "Classy Lisbon Guide," it's not pretentious. They highlight "hole in the wall" traditional places up to fine dining cosmopolitan experiences. My favorite thing about this guide is the personal notes from Joen & Amalie, who know the city like few do. For example, they will say in the notes this is where we come for the bifana, sardines, etc. Extremely helpful and a big city like Lisbon! If you're on the fence about purchasing the guide, do it. It's one of the best ways to maximize your time and have a lasting memory of your trip.
