In Portugal there is one contradiction when it comes to their national dish.

While some people say it's Bacalhau, which is the salted and dried codfish that they use for multiple dishes, the more historically interested Portuguese people claim that it's Cozido à Portuguesa.

We also believe it's Cozido á Portuguesa and here at Restaurant Zanzibar you get the best experience, if you have the courage to try it. Every Sunday they serve this amazing food in a Buffet style so that you can pick what you like from the dish.

That is our favorite way of eating it. That is because the traditional way of serving Cozido makes it impossible to escape eating the intestines that we personally don't like.
