One thing Johan and I always appreciate is good design. We’re not picky about the style—we love a variety of them. That’s why, when we stepped into the foyer of Dong Duong Hotel & Suites (Afternoon Tea Inclusive), we were instantly in love. There’s so much going on with the interior, but it somehow feels both classy and calm. We were really drawn to the vintage pieces, especially the beautiful wood and tile work throughout the hotel.
We stayed in the Sauna Suite, which was perfect for the two of us. It had these amazing vintage lamps and even a vintage phone—such a cool touch. Our room had a balcony, so we could open up and enjoy some fresh air, which we loved. There was also a kitchen, but honestly, we didn’t touch it. The only thing we did touch was the minibar, and the best part? It was included!
Although we didn’t take advantage of amenities like the business center or airport shuttle, we definitely enjoyed the famous afternoon tea. Vietnam has some of the best tea, and we were lucky enough to indulge. Breakfast was another highlight—we tried so many new things from the Asian breakfast spread, and of course, stuck to some familiar continental favorites as well.
Location-wise, it couldn’t be more convenient. The hotel is smack in the middle of Da Nang, and you have everything you need within a five to ten-minute walk. Just keep in mind that this is more on the pricier side, but the design, service, and experience are definitely worth it.
