Sightseeing
St. Stephen’s Basilica is one of those places that hits you with its sheer beauty the moment you see it. Walking up to it feels like you're approaching something grand but welcoming at the same time—like it's been patiently waiting for you to admire it! The dome towers above, practically begging for a photo, and let me tell you, this is one you'll want to take from every angle.
If you want to step inside (and you really should!), it’s free to enter, though a small donation of 200 HUF (about $0.50 USD) is appreciated. But the real secret? For a small fee (around 1,200 HUF, or $3-4 USD), you can climb the dome for one of the best views in Budapest. Seriously, standing up there, with the city stretching out beneath you, it’s like you’re on top of the world!
Give yourself about an hour or so to fully soak in the experience, whether you’re lighting a candle inside, marveling at the stunning mosaics, or just sitting outside with a coffee, basking in its presence. It's not just a visit—it's a moment you'll carry with you long after you leave
