Gala is one of the most peculiar beaches you will ever see. As you have probably noticed or realized by now, Koufonissia is full of caves, hollow spots and openings. Gala has everything: a beach, a cave, a hollow opening. It’s located north of Pori, take the trail that goes uphill and you will get there
after around 10 minutes of walking. Use the rocks on the side to carefully descend down to the beach. Its name “Gala” literally translates to “milk” and the reason for that is the white-ish colour of the water on the small secluded beach. I do not recommend swimming underwater on this beach as you could get stuck there somewhere or get swept away but the currents.
