Plakias is a long, sandy beach, ideal for family holidays since it has all the tourist structures along it.

Access is easy and there is much to do and see in the area, such as the Kotsifos gorge, the Preveli palm forest, the Kourtaliotiko gorge and the small beaches of Kleisidi and Damnoni.
