Message from Stefanos Addimando

A small picturesque village with an impressive historical legacy. This is where the Treaty of the Unification of Crete with Greece was signed in 1878.

The waters of the Mousela River come rushing through the year, creating springs through the rocks and forming smaller streams. There are a lot of little waterfalls and pools as you walk the stairs up. The view gets better and better and there’s a couple of tavernas with a beautiful balcony view under the shade of the gigantic plane trees.

Definitely a great stop on your Rethymno exploration trip.
