Beach

Psili Ammos beach literally translates to “fine sand” and you can probably guess why. The sand is indeed incredibly fine and soft, it massages your feet as you walk. This is a large beach for the standards of Serifos, not as secluded and the waters are bright emerald.

You access it by the stairs located right next to the “Psili Ammos” sign. There are plenty of trees to get some shade, though this beach is one of the most popular ones and tends to get quite crowded during peak periods and hours. It is super family- friendly, as the waters are shallow, there is shade and there are two tavernas operating there (“Manolis” and “Stefanakos”), usually open until 7pm or so, every day during the summer. During the winter both of them are closed.

The negative side of the fine sand is that on windy days it can get swept away and make you and your stuff really messy.

A great beach if you are looking to just unwind under the shade and listen to the waves.
