For fall hiking, you'll need to be prepared for a variety of conditions. I hope you have warm sunny weather. But it's more likely that it will be quite cold and possibly wet.

In fall, we typically wear a long shirt and long pants with warm socks and waterproof hiking boots. I'd take a fleece, light down jacket and rain jacket for protection from both wind and rain. I would take lightweight gloves and a beanie hat.

Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen, as you can get burnt even on cold days.

If you are hiking, bring at least 1L water and snacks even if you are hiking near mountain huts.

Bring cash in case mountain huts do not take cards.
