The Thur waterfalls is a beautiful site located in Unterwasser, canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. It is made up of two cascades that plunge down from steep rock faces, reaching up to 75 ft. While admiring the stunning views, nature lovers can explore three observation decks along the road developed in 1927. T
The Thur waterfalls are tucked away in a little valley, but close to town and easy to access. After a short walk along a river from Unterwasser, there is an elevated walkway built into the cliffs, so you can walk above the river and access a couple different lookouts over the falls. You can also walk to the top of the falls, through a tunnel, with some stairs.
This is a nice add-on to Chäserrugg or the Toggenburg Tone Trail.
In fall, note that the water levels might be low unless there was recent rain.
