Aletsch Arena is a huge ski resort in southern Switzerland with 104km of beautiful sunny slopes. One special feature is the spectacular view of the 23km long Aletsch glacier from the top of the gondolas.
You can access the ski resort from three car-free alpine villages: Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp. At each village, there are ski lifts, ski schools, ski rentals, restaurants, hotels and other services. You can ski between areas, but it can take a long time to go back and forth. So it makes sense to stay or start in the area you most want to ski.
We spent the most time in the Fiescheralp area, which our family thoroughly enjoyed. It has a lot of services for beginners and plenty of intermediate and advanced terrains for more experienced skiers.
They have dynamic pricing, so you get a cheaper price if you book in advance, starting at CHF 53/adult. They offer free skiing for kids under 20 on Saturdays. When buying lift passes for the family, the third and any further child (age 6-15) ski for free.
