It's an exciting ride on these three-wheeled go-carts, speeding down the mountain with Matterhorn views.
You ride on a bumpy dirt service road - 1.6 km distance, descending 280m of altitude. The road gets quite steep at times, so you need to carefully control your speed with the hand-brakes.
Cost: You pay per go-cart trip, slight discount for multiple trips. The gondola tickets are separate. Your rental fee includes helmet and gondola.
Requirement: min age 9+ and 135 cm tall (4ft5)
Open: mid June to early October. Daily 10:00 to 60 min before gondola closes.
The route starts at the top of the Blauherd gondola and ends at the Sunnegga station. To reach the carts, you ride a funicular train to Sunnegga, then gondola to the Blauherd station. Here you can pay for the carts and pick them up.
A nice way to incorporate these into your itinerary is to first ride up Blauherd. Hike out to the Stellisee lake and back, about 90 mins. Then pick the carts and ride down to Sunnegga.
