Vollenweider is a family owned Swiss company, making pastries and chocolate for over 80 years. Their boutique in Zurich is located near the Operahaus, a fun stop if you happen to be in the neighborhood.

They offer a wide selection of high end chocolates, with pretty shapes and interesting flavors. I particularly like their ginger praline, but I always try the new seasonal flavor just in case. I also love their "Maybug" creations, with brightly decorated chocolate bugs filled with pralines.

They have pastries other treats, including French macarons, beautiful cakes, and yummy ice cream in takeaway cups.
