Tibits is a casual vegetarian / vegan cafe, with a delicious buffet of hot & cold dishes, many with Asian inspired flavors.

You serve yourself from the buffet and have your plate weighed at the counter to pay. Warning - the price is usually more than you imagine, so perhaps be a little conservative when loading up your plate. We typically pay around CHF 25 for a full plate, plus CHF 7 for a drink.

The Tibits location near the Zurich Operahaus is actually two cafes, side by side. The one on the corner is called Tibits Seefeld. The one next door is called Tibits Bistro, which is a bit larger, with a "quiet" room and a "family" room with some play things. The food is the same, but we prefer the Bistro, which is more charming with cool furniture and a more spacious feel.

Tibits is practically indistinguishable from Hiltl, with similar food and concept and started with the help of the Hiltl founder. You may find the Hiltl locations more convenient, with two near the main Zurich train station at Europaallee and just off the Bahnhofstrasse with a roof terrace.
