This coaster is just a short walk from the Interlaken West train station, on a small hill overlooking the city. You start by riding a 100 year old vintage funicular train up the hill.

At the top, there is a restaurant, playground, model railway show, and tower to climb where you can enjoy beautiful views across the lakes and into the Jungfrau Region valley.

At the end of your visit, ride this coaster back down to Interlaken, a little thrill ride through the forest.

  • Length: 400m

  • Style: single rail track

  • Location: Interlaken - see on map

  • Cost: CHF 16/adult, CHF 10/child for cable car up and toboggan ride down. Discount with Swiss Travel Pass, GA, and Half-fare cards. See more price options

  • Open: mid April thru late October

  • Website: www.heimwehfluh.ch

Tip: If you hike up instead of riding the train, you "only" pay CHF 9 to ride the coaster down. The walk up is mostly in the forest, so good for fitness but not views until you get to the top.

This coaster is fun. But we think it a little pricey for a rather short ride. If this is the only coaster you can visit on your trip, then do it. Otherwise wait for a better one elsewhere.
