This glacier-formed lake is just a 15 min walk from the Fafleralp parking and bus stop at the end of the Lötschental valley. I visited at the end of the Lötschental Panorama Trail, which I definitely recommend. But if you need a shorter activity, this lake is a great choice because it's such a short and easy walk to get there. It would be a great place for a picnic.

The path does have uneven terrain, so it may be a little difficult for small children or those with limited mobility.

There is a campground and hotel near the parking, making it a nice place to spend the night before moving on to other fall destinations in Switzerland.
