The Grünsee is located at an altitude of 2,300 m above Zermatt. On a clear day, you can see the Matterhorn reflected in the water while you enjoy a picnic on the shore.

You visit this lake as part of the Zermatt 5 Lake Walk or my Riffelalp 3 Lake Trail, both of which end at Sunnegga, where you can ride a funicular down to Zermatt.
