For a short outing, you might like the Royal Walk up to the viewpoint over the entire Jungfrau Region. From the top of the Grindelwald-Männlichen gondola (location of cow playground), it's about a 20 min walk uphill to a big “crown” platform where you get a spectacular view of the whole Jungfrau Region.
Near the Männlichen gondoola station, there is a restaurant, playground and a viewpoint over the cliffs to the Lauterbrunnen valley.

The Royal Walk starts at Männlichen cable car station on the mountain. Walk back the way you came.

Since it’s a short outing, we suggest following this with the panorama trail to Kleine Scheidegg.
From Grindelwald, go to the Grindelwald Terminal station and ride a gondola to Männlichen.
From Lauterbrunnen, ride a mountain train to Wengen, then a cable car to Männlichen.
A round trip ticket from the valley costs about CHF 58-64 depending on where you start.
These cable cars are free with the Jungfrau Travel Pass and Berner Oberland Pass. Discounted with Swiss Travel Pass, SBB GA and Half-fare.
The Royal Walk is a good option with children because the the hike is short and not too difficult. Also, the path is smooth gravel, possible with sturdy strollers until the very top, which gets a bit rocky. After the walk, you can treat the kids with time at the playground.
