This bouncy suspension bridge is at the Sattel Hochstuckli mountain resort. After riding a gondola up the mountain, the bridge is a short 3 min walk from the gondola station.

Bridge: 100m long, 100m high, 80cm wide

Open: gondola to reach bridge open for summer season from mid April thru October.

The bridge is perfectly safe to walk over but can be a thrill if you find heights a bit scary.

ℹ️ Note: You can take strollers and wheelchairs on the bridge. But because it's so narrow, you can only one direction and must return via the Bridge Loop Trail.

Optional hike

If you feel like walking more, you can do the Bridge Loop Trail, which starts over the bridge and loops around the alpine meadows, ending back at the gondola station.

Trail: easy • 1.5 km loop • 30 mins • 50m up and down

The bridge is just one of the many amusements at this mountain resort, which has a summer toboggan, tubing track, trampolines and bouncy castles.

How to get there

The Sattel Hochstuckli gondola is located at Eumatt, 6417 Sattel, SZ.

By car: Drive to Sattel and follow signs to "Hochstuckli" (Eumatt, 6417 Sattel). There is a big metered parking lot next to the gondola.

By train: ride to Sattel station, then 4 min walk to Hochstuckli gondola station.

Tickets

There's no cost to walk on the suspension bridge. But you'll need a gondola return ticket to reach the bridge.

If the kids also want to visit the amusement center, you could get them the Day Pass, which includes the gondola plus access to the bouncy castles and unlimited use of the summer toboggan and tubing track.

Slight discount on the gondola with the Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Half Fare Card. Gondola free with Lucerne Tell Pass.
