This trail starts at the Furi gondola station and hikes down to Zermatt, passing through the Gorner Gorge on the way. It’s a pretty path, wandering through alpine meadows and passing by charming mountain huts.

How to get to the trail
To reach the the trail, ride the Matterhorn Express gondola to Furi. Then follow signs to
Gondola address: Schluhmattstrasse 28, 3920 Zermatt
If you are visiting Matterhorn Glacier Paradise or hiking the Matterhorn Glacier Trail, you can stop at Furi on your ride back down to Zermatt.
Trail directions
Ride the Matterhorn Express gondola station to the Furi station and exit station.
Follow yellow trail signs direction "Zum See" and "Blatten".
When you reach Blatten, fork right, following signs to Gornerschlucht and crossing a bridge over the river.
Keep following signs to Gornerschlucht, eventually forking left down to the gorge on wooden stairs.
Walk through the gorge on the wooden walkway.
When you exit the gorge, there is a hut where you pay a small fee for visiting the gorge.
Continue hiking down the mountain, following signs to Zermatt.
