How to get there
Get to Mürren and walk through the village to the Allmendhubel funicular train (see funicular station on map). Ride up the mountain, you'll find a restaurant and playground.
Follow trail signs with the green Northface trail label. The trail ends in the Mürren village.
Variations
Detour to waterfall: After about an hour of hiking, there is an optional detour to the Sprutz waterfall. It adds about 20 mins to the hike and a bit of difficulty on some steep switchbacks in the forest. But totally worth it to walk under the raging falls. See trail map with waterfall detour.
Hike uphill: You can hike the opposite direction, starting in Mürren and ending at Allmendhubel. This gives you more uphill climbing.
Skip funicular: You can skip the funicular and do a loop, starting and ending in Mürren. See trail map.
Longer hike: You can start at Grütschalp with the Mountain View Trail, which ends at Allmendhubel. Then continue hiking on the Northface trail to Mürren. About 4-5 hours total hiking time.
