Bizarrely, this bus route is slightly complicated, even though so many tourists must ride this route.
If you are starting in Lucerne, just reverse these directions. Buses pick up at the bus deport directly in front of the Lucerne train station.
Best option: If you don't mind a short walk, the best option is walking 8 mins to the Kriens, Zentrum Pilatus bus stop. Catch Bus 1, direction Ebikon, Fildern. This bus runs about every 8 mins and takes 13 mins to reach the Lucerne main train station (Luzern, Bahnhof), no transfers.
Less walking: Bus 15 picks up at the Kriens. Pilatus Bahnen stop, directly in front of the Kriens Pilatus gondola station. This bus runs only once per.
Ride Bus 15 four stops to Kriens, Hofmatt-Bellpark. Get off the bus and transfer to Bus 1, direction Ebikon, Fildern, which will take you to the Lucerne main train station. This full journey is about 17 mins.
