Chillon Castle near Montreux dates back to the 12th century and has been converted into a museum showcasing its rich history. You can explore many rooms of the castle including four great halls, three courtyards, and some bedrooms that were once occupied by Dukes of Savoy, and the underground vaults.

Children will enjoy the treasure hunt, a medieval dress-up corner, and a replica knight’s armor. After yor visit, we suggest either a boat ride or strolling along the banks of Lake Geneva to enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains.

It can be chilly inside those stone walls in winter. So bundle up and visit the rooms you are most interested in first, in case you need to cut your visit short.
