This fun activity trail has a dozen elaborate marble runs along a short mountain trail. The marble run tracks were built by local carpenters. Our crew had lots of fun racing their marbles down the different tracks and competing with each other.
Near the start of the trail, there is a big playground and picnic area. So factor in time to play before you start hiking.
We combined this trail with the Muggestutz activity trail, making for a full day on the mountain. We also visited the Alpen Tower viewpoint at 2275m to get the big panorama views before heading lower down the mountain for hiking.
This trail is located in the Hasliberg mountain resort, starting at the Bidmi gondola station and ending at the Reuti station.
Trail: Easy • 1.5 h • 3 km • 150m down

The trail is easy, all downhill. The mountain views on the Kugelweg are very nice, but since you are often in the forest and at a lower elevation, you don’t get big panorama views like you do up top, just fyi. But this also makes it a good choice for a very hot day when you need some shade.
You should plan for about 1.5-2 hours on the trail, to allow for playtime.
You can get to the trail by riding the cable car from Meiringen (Underem Gfell, 3860 Meiringen CH) or Hasliberg Reuti (Resti 5, 6086 Hasliberg). There is metered parking at both stations.
Ride up to the Bidmi station.
When purchasing your cable car tickets, tell them which trail you intend to do and they will sell you the correct ticket. An adult ticket costs about CHF 24-34, depending on where you catch the cable car.
You get a discount for children, Swiss Travel Pass, SBB GA and Half-fare. Kids with SBB Junior Card or under 6 ride free.
IMPORTANT! Don't forget to purchase a large wooden "marble" to use on the trail. They sell it at the gondola station ticket offices. We found it best for each child to have their own marble or there were fights.
